Creator Terms

Last updated: August 3, 2026

The extra rules that apply when you publish or monetize a game on Vastopia. These supplement the Terms of Service — everything there still applies to you.

1. What These Terms Cover

These Creator Terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“Vastopia”, “we”, “us”) that applies whenever you publish a game to the Vastopia platform, operate a published game, or monetize one (each a “Game”, and you in that role, a “Creator”). They form part of, and incorporate, the Terms of Service (including its arbitration and liability provisions) and the Community Guidelines. If these Creator Terms conflict with the Terms of Service on a creator-specific topic, these control.

You accept these terms when you check the acceptance box in the publishing flow, and re-affirm them each time you publish an update or enable a monetization feature.

2. Creator Eligibility

Anyone with a Vastopia account in good standing may build and publish Games. To monetize a Game (sell items for V-Coins) or receive payouts, you must additionally: (a) be at least 18 years old or the age of majority where you live; (b) complete Stripe onboarding, including identity verification; and (c) keep your country and account information accurate. Hosting subscriptions (Section 8) also require you to be old enough to form a binding contract.

If your account is suspended or terminated under the Terms of Service, your creator privileges end with it.

3. Publishing Your Game

Publishing makes your Game available to Vastopia users under the license you grant in the Terms of Service (Section 9) and Section 11 below. Before publishing, you confirm that:

  • you own or have licensed every asset in the Game — including anything you imported from outside Vastopia (models, textures, music, sounds, fonts) and anything a collaborator contributed;
  • the Game complies with the Content Standards (Section 4) and all laws that apply to you and your audience;
  • the Game’s name, icon, and store listing are accurate and not misleading, and do not impersonate another game, brand, or person.

We do not pre-review Games, and publishing is not an endorsement. We may remove or suspend any Game as described in Section 12.

4. Content Standards & Ratings

Everything in the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service Section 11 applies inside your Game — its content, its mechanics, and the behavior it encourages. Three rules matter especially for Games:

  • No gambling mechanics. Nothing that lets players wager V-Coins, items, or anything of value on chance; no purchasable loot-box-style mechanics without our express written approval; no simulated casinos playing for stakes.
  • Honest monetization. Item descriptions must be accurate; prices must not be manipulated to exploit mistakes; and mechanics designed primarily to pressure minors into purchases are prohibited.
  • Rate your Game honestly. Choose the content rating that matches your Game’s actual content, and keep it updated as the Game changes. If your Game targets or knowingly attracts children, you are responsible for complying with child-directed content laws that apply to you.

5. Monetization & Revenue Share

You may sell in-Game items for V-Coins through the shop tools we provide. When a player buys your item, the sale is between you and the player, facilitated by Vastopia (Terms of Service Section 6).

Revenue share. Vastopia retains a platform fee of 30% of each sale; the remainder is credited to your earnings balance. The fee shown in your creator dashboard at the time of a sale is the fee that applies to it. We may change the fee prospectively with reasonable notice.

Pricing. You set your own V-Coin prices within platform limits. Server-side prices are authoritative — the price recorded at purchase time is what the player pays and what your share is computed from.

Prohibited: selling items you have no right to sell; self-purchases or coordinated purchases to launder funds or inflate metrics; off-platform sales of in-Game items, currency, or access; and directing players to purchase outside the Services.

6. Payouts, Holds & Reversals

Earnings are held as pending for 30 days after each sale before becoming eligible for payout — our buffer against refunds, chargebacks, and fraud. Eligible earnings are paid via Stripe to your verified account.

We may reverse, deduct, or offset earnings connected to refunded, charged-back, fraudulent, or Terms-violating transactions — including after payout, by offsetting against future earnings. We may pause payouts while Stripe requires additional verification from you (its requirements grow with your volume), or while we investigate suspected fraud or a serious Terms violation; we will tell you the reason unless law or an active investigation prevents it.

Earnings balances are not deposits and earn no interest. If your account is terminated for a serious breach, earnings connected to the breach may be forfeited to the extent the law permits; legitimately earned amounts are paid out in the ordinary course.

7. Taxes & Reporting

You are responsible for your own income taxes, and for any VAT/GST or similar obligations that apply to you as a seller in your jurisdiction. Where required by law, we or Stripe collect tax information (IRS Forms W-9/W-8 or local equivalents) and report your earnings to tax authorities — for example US 1099 reporting and EU DAC7 platform reporting. Keep your country information accurate: it determines your verification requirements and tax paperwork, and cannot be corrected after Stripe onboarding without re-onboarding.

8. Hosting & Technical Limits

Published Games run on Vastopia-managed servers under a hosting subscription (Terms of Service Section 8): recurring billing, cancellation at period end, a grace period on failed payment, then servers go offline. Tiers carry technical limits (players, compute, storage, bandwidth) shown in your dashboard.

Your server scripts run on our infrastructure. They must not attack third parties, mine cryptocurrency, exfiltrate data, evade platform rules, or degrade the platform for other Games. We may throttle, pause, or terminate runaway or abusive workloads, with notice where practicable. Keep your own backups of your source content — hosting is not an archival service.

9. Moderating Your Game

You are the first line of moderation for your Game. Using the tools we provide (warnings, mutes, kicks, and Game-scoped bans), you agree to:

  • take reasonable action on rule-breaking behavior you see or that players report;
  • apply your own Game rules consistently and not use moderation tools to harass, extort, or discriminate;
  • escalate serious matters to us at [CONTACT EMAIL] immediately — especially anything involving child safety, credible threats, or illegal content. Do not delete the evidence; suspend access and report it.

Your moderation decisions within your Game are yours. We may override them where needed to enforce the Terms of Service, and platform-level enforcement (Section 12) is always ours.

10. Player Data

You get dashboards showing analytics for your Game and moderation data about your own players (usernames, sanction history, reports, Game save data). Sensitive fields — IP addresses, emails, device identifiers, payment references — are automatically redacted before you see player data.

You agree to use player data only to operate and improve your Game. You must not:

  • attempt to re-identify players or bypass the redactions;
  • harvest, export, sell, or share player data with third parties;
  • use it to contact players outside the Services;
  • design your Game to collect personal information players type in (real names, contact details, passwords) — and if players volunteer it, do not store or use it.

For any data your Game collects through its own design, you are the responsible party under privacy laws that apply to you. See the Privacy Policy Section 8.

11. Intellectual Property

You keep ownership of your Game and original assets. You grant Vastopia the operating license in Terms of Service Section 9 — host, distribute, run, and promote your Game — and you grant players the license to play it and use items they purchase.

Vastopia Assets (engine, editor, starter and AI-generated library assets) are licensed to you only for use inside the Services (Terms of Service Section 10) — you may not extract or resell them. Assets you generate with our AI tools may be used in your Games; their copyright status varies by jurisdiction and we warrant nothing about your ability to claim exclusive rights in them.

IP complaints about your Game (DMCA notices, trademark complaints) are handled under Terms of Service Section 14. Repeat infringement terminates creator privileges and can terminate your account. If your Game is the subject of a notice, we may remove it first and notify you with the counter-notice process.

12. Platform Enforcement & Takedowns

We may unpublish, suspend, or remove any Game — and restrict its monetization — where we believe it violates these terms, the Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines, or the law, or creates risk for users or the platform. A suspended Game is delisted, cannot be joined, and its status is frozen until we restore it; earnings connected to the violation may be withheld under Section 6.

When we take action we will tell you what was taken down and why, and you may appeal by contacting [CONTACT EMAIL] with the details — appeals are reviewed by someone other than the original decision-maker where practicable. Emergency actions (child safety, legal orders, active fraud) may take effect before notice.

13. Unpublishing & What Happens to Players

You may unpublish your Game at any time. Players lose access to the Game and the items they purchased in it when it goes offline — so we ask that you not rug-pull: if your Game has meaningful recent revenue, give players reasonable notice before permanently shutting it down. We may refund recent purchases in a Game that is abruptly and permanently withdrawn, and offset those refunds against your earnings, where we reasonably judge that purchasers were materially shortchanged.

If you delete your account, your published Games are unpublished (Terms of Service Section 19) unless you transfer them to another Creator first.

14. Changes & Contact

We may update these Creator Terms as the platform evolves, with notice as described in Terms of Service Section 25 — material changes get at least 14 days’ notice, and continuing to publish or monetize after the effective date accepts the update. Questions: [CONTACT EMAIL].
