Community Guidelines

Make cool things. Play fair. Treat people like people. Don’t put anyone — especially kids — at risk. If you wouldn’t do it in a room full of strangers of all ages, don’t do it here.

Competition, banter, and strong opinions are part of gaming. Cruelty isn’t. Not allowed:

• Bullying, harassment, or dogpiling — including using game mechanics to do it;
• Hate or slurs directed at people for their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or similar characteristics;
• Threats of violence, or wishing harm on someone, even “as a joke”;
• Sexual advances or sexual chat directed at anyone who hasn’t clearly welcomed it — and never toward minors (see Section 4).

If someone is bothering you, block them (their messages stop reaching you) and report them (Section 11).

People of many ages share this platform, and games declare a content rating that players rely on. Not allowed anywhere: sexually explicit content, real-world gore, and content glorifying real violence, terrorism, or self-harm. Fantasy combat and stylized violence are fine — this is a game platform — but rate your game honestly and keep the intense stuff out of listings, thumbnails, usernames, and chat where nobody opted into it.

This is the rule we enforce hardest, with zero tolerance and no second chances:

• Any content that sexualizes minors — real, drawn, rendered, or role-played — is banned and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement;
• No attempting to befriend, isolate, or move a minor to another platform for romantic or sexual purposes (grooming), and no asking any user for photos of themselves;
• No asking other users their age in a predatory context, and no soliciting personal information from minors.

If you see anything in this category, report it immediately — in-app or to [CONTACT EMAIL]. You will never get in trouble for a good-faith report.

Cheats, exploits, and gameplay automation ruin games for everyone else. Don’t use them, don’t sell them, don’t advertise them. Found a bug or exploit? Report it to the game’s creator or to us instead of farming it — abusing an exploit for gain is treated the same as cheating. Don’t grief: deliberately ruining other players’ experience through mechanics abuse counts even when no “cheat” is involved.

Nothing on Vastopia may let you stake V-Coins, items, or anything of value on chance. That includes casino games played for stakes, wagering on outcomes, raffles that cost coins to enter, and purchasable loot-box mechanics (not permitted without express platform approval). Games of chance played purely for fun with no stakes are fine.

Upload only what you made or have the right to use. Ripped models, music, or branding from other games and media will be taken down under our DMCA policy, and repeat infringers lose their accounts. Being “inspired by” a genre is how games work; copying another creator’s game, name, or assets closely enough to confuse players isn’t.

• No phishing, fake giveaways, or tricking players out of coins, items, or accounts;
• No impersonating Vastopia staff, other users, or other games — including lookalike names and logos;
• No buying, selling, or trading accounts, V-Coins, or items for real money or anything of value outside the platform — these trades are where most scams live, and both sides of one violate the rules;
• No spam, chain messages, or unsolicited advertising.

Don’t share anyone’s personal information — real name, address, school, photos, socials — without their permission (doxxing), and don’t threaten to. Don’t pressure other users to share theirs. And protect your own: keep your real identity out of chat, and never share your password or account.

No malware, no unauthorized access to accounts or systems, no scraping, no evading rate limits or bans (including making new accounts to dodge one). Security researchers acting in good faith are welcome — report what you find to [CONTACT EMAIL] before telling anyone else, don’t touch other users’ data, and you won’t be treated as a rule-breaker.

Blocking stops someone from messaging you or sending you friend requests, in both directions. The other person is not told.

Reporting sends the content or behavior to moderators — a game’s own moderators for in-game matters, and Vastopia for platform-level ones. Report in-app where available, or email [CONTACT EMAIL] with what happened, who, and when. False reports made to harass someone are themselves a violation.

Game creators moderate their own games (warnings, mutes, kicks, and game bans). Vastopia enforces at the platform level. Consequences scale with severity and history: most first-time, lower-severity violations get a warning or a feature restriction; repeated or serious violations escalate to suspension and permanent bans. Some things skip the ladder entirely — child endangerment, credible threats, and payment fraud end accounts immediately.

When we act on your content or account, we’ll tell you what rule was involved, and you can appeal by replying or writing to [CONTACT EMAIL]; appeals are reviewed by someone other than the original decision-maker where practicable. The binding versions of all these rules live in the Terms of Service and, for creators, the Creator Terms.
